In a few short hours this beautiful momma will be welcoming her sweet baby boy into the world! Lindsay has a sweet spot in my heart and the two of us have had lots of laughs and adventures together, so excited for this next adventure with you!
This past month, I was privledged enough to spend a month in CO with people that I grew to love. It’s always hard when I post about people who are dear to my heart, in this case, people who quickly became my family while I was out there. It’s hard to post about people I care about because I can’t ever seem to find the right words- probably why I’m a photographer and not a writer. In similar fashion, I’m going to keep it that way, posting pictures and not words. Just know as you look through these next few ridiculously long blog posts that these faces aren’t just faces… each face has a special place in my heart.
we moved on towards the ruins where we would be stopping to set camp. it was GORGEOUS along the way.
we made it to the ruins (and in good time too!)
we then hiked to find a good place to camp.
this place was AWESOME. it was so lush and beautiful and right in the valley.
Little did we know what was ahead of us. we camped out that night ate ramen and played uno and went to bed early so we could rest up for our 15 mile hike the next day. We would be hiking all the way back to Cusco. About one mile into our hike it started to rain, and persisted for another 2 or 3 hours, at one point it even started to hail. We were in the middle of nowhere (maybe saw 2 other peruvians the entire 15 miles) and we didn’t really have anyway to “quit” we trekked on, got chased by a crazy dog, made some wrong turns through some peruvians llamas, bulls, and flower patches, but made it to cuzco in record time! This was the glorious sight we crossed over the mountain to:
crockett and I sang “hallelujah” the whole way over the mountain and ran towards cuzco, we actually made it home, we really doubted we were gunna make it there for a while!
Today we’re off to do some sight seeing and then thursday Machu Picchu! catch ya later!
classy. elegant. simple. vintage. Bess embodied all of those things and had such a peace about her, not only during her bridals but on her big day as well. Stay posted for pictures from her and tsilavo’s big day. and until then- eat your heart out, she’s stunning.
Bess I’m so thankful you thought of me to shoot your wedding- mostly because it was SO MUCH FUN to get to hang out with you for extended amounts of time! Enjoy your last few days honey mooning in Colorado!
Whit & Maxine had a destination wedding to die for. They got married on beautiful and quiet Bald Head Island off the coast of North Carolina. Their wedding was intimate, elegant, and full of joy. I loved every detail of this island getaway and not a single thing was overlooked. This wedding really was just like a fairytale.
whit & maxine found this driftwood together and whit made this arch for her.
Whit & Maxine- it was truly an honor and a blessing to be a part of your special weekend. I wish you both the best and am praying big prayers for the two of you, your time in Africa, and your first year of marriage!
okay. I am seriously giddy to be posting these bridal portraits because this was truly my favorite shoot I’ve ever done. The day was perfect, Maxine literally could not have been more stunning and the animals were sweet as can be. Maxine, this day was almost as much fun as your wedding, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of it.
Enjoy these bridals, and stay tuned in the coming month for breath taking pictures of their Bald Head Island wedding.
if you think you’ve seen beautiful brides before, you haven’t seen anything yet. Here’s a sneak peek of my beautiful best friend Morgan… Her wedding was magical and she looked stunning. Stay tuned for more of this amazing wedding.

Her wedding invitations & Rehearsal dinner invites are making an appearance on the blog this week because they are so elegant and awesome. I literally drooled over them when I came in the mail.
