My life has been a whirl wind of ridiculous things this past month. I feel like i’m running from wedding to young life camp to trying to pack up and relocate my life .5 a mile down the road. Needless to say, today i started sorting through my italy pictures and I realized there is so much I have yet to post!
The best way I can think to do this is to go day by day. So that you and I both don’t get too overwhelmed.
So we’ll start in Venice- the city of water. Here’s to day 1.
a restaurant in Munich, Germany.
in our little hotel room- before our first night out on the town.
dinner in Venice.
Despite all the awesome surroundings the first day I set foot in Italy, all I could see was doors. They captured my eye from the very first day. Each and every door in Italy is unique. I found myself daydreaming about all the stories that lay behind those doors, all the work that went into placing them there, all the history those doors have seen, I also found myself taking pictures of them left and right. Below are my favorites from the trip.
I fell in love with venice. its old, rustic, romantic. its everything that it promises to be and more. Venice has character, its been around forever, it has secrets around every alleyway and when you get lost you can’t be disappointed because theres something breathtaking around every corner. I’ve always had a thing for being around water and venice is the epitome of heaven on earth to me. The idea of taking a taxi- thats a boat- sent me to cloud nine. here are a few pictures of the many i’ve taken. this is my attempt to show you how perfect this little floating city really is.
warning: this may be my longest post ever.
the skies are really this blue at night…
and the water always shimmers under the moon.
and the pigeons really do love you!
and the gondola rides are more than worth it.
after countless hours in the air, multiple flights, and a few huge suitcases later i’m home.
over the next few days I will try to explain to you through pictures my love for all things italian. I will try to show you how each and every place stole my heart and hopefully give you some laughs along the way.
here are a few pictures I LOVE today.
buona sera! i’m going to sleep of the time difference!
